IKEA REborn is a sustainable concept created by working with 3 different areas; Sociology, Business and Design. This infographic was made to show the process of how our concept came to life.
The outline of the brief from IKEA was to develop and host a physical and/or digital platform to inspire IKEA employees and customers around Life at Home and Sustainability.
The users should be able to engage in communities locally and globally, in real life and/or digitally to ensure a more sustainable life at home. The platform should consist of user generated tips and ideas on how to live a sustainable life. An important part of the platform is a category that focuses on repairing, mending, and refurbishing.
The overall objective is to develop a concept that enable people locally and globally, to share ideas on prolonging the life of their IKEA (or other) products. The platform should be evolving around the newest tendencies within sustainable urban living, and inspire people to develop community based activities, and share their thoughts and ways of living sustainably in cities.
