Bite Me Crew works with interdisciplinary application and development of food as a social and content based tool. It is a collaboration between researchers, designers, chefs, facilitators and more.
For this brief Bite Me Crew gave us two weeks to address the task to create a space which provides office and kitchen facilities, is publicly accessible and is part of a global digital network.
BEEHIVE is an interdisciplinary working space that hosts researchers, designers, producers, chefs and project managers from both companies and organisations and with individual needs. This space facilitates collaboration and innovation by connecting these people together in one physical spot.
As well as a traditional working space BEEHIVE will contain kitchens and labs to allow practical work with food and nutrition studies. These facilities will attract external contributors to work on their own projects but also allow Bite Me Crew to develop their experiences. BEEHIVE will also have the potential to host events and networking sessions at the physical spot.
Those who work at BEEHIVE will also be connected on a digital platform. The BEEHIVE app will be available to download to smartphones and will operate as a social network where members can share their latest projects, ask to collaborate, check in at BEEHIVE and chat with other members of BEEHIVE.
The space is shaped like a hexagon to continue the notion of the beehive seen at the current Bite Me Crew aesthetics. The colors in each installment of BEEHIVE will be decorated with interior based on a main and a sub color. The colors are selected based on the psychology behind them and the purpose of the space to increase the productivity level within the community of BEEHIVE.
